You once argued that fairy tales, or fiction is a kind of escapism from the reality. I have my reservations, but how you justify your take on the matter...Pleas elucidate.

See its not that i dont like Fairy tales or im averse to fictions, rather i find them pretty interesting. My point was regarding Science Fictions or Sci-Fi movies. What i feel is that these movies are beyond reality and sometimes they showcase a world which is a kind of escapist world, with flying cars, super-human powers, magical weapons and all that. According to me they are a kind of fantasy which take shape in our mind because we dont have it in real life. Maybe you can say that my taste is not in Science Fiction but this is what i feel.

"All in the cars in the world...were once a dream in someones head......."

Reality is stranger than fiction, dear Suruchi. What seems like science fiction today will one day be reality. Well most of it at least. To some it may seem as escapism to others it means being ahead of their times, just depends on the perspective.

Love your movie quotes, especially the one from Indecent Proposal. It always reminds me of watching the movie at Priya at Vasant Vihar, Delhi when I was in school just before the Board Exams. Some of my other favourite one liners from celluloid are:
